We make reasonable efforts to keep information regarding our solar services, products, technologies, projects, and capabilities accurate and updated.
However, solar technologies, product specifications, government policies, tariffs, subsidies, equipment availability, and regulatory requirements may change over time.
Website information should therefore be treated as general information and not as a final technical recommendation, guaranteed quotation, engineering design, or contractual commitment unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Solar Project Enquiries & Quotations

Information or pricing provided following an initial enquiry may be indicative until the relevant project requirements have been assessed.
A final quotation or project proposal may depend on factors including:

  • Site conditions
  • Available rooftop or ground area
  • Electricity consumption and load profile
  • Required system capacity
  • Structural conditions
  • Selected solar modules, inverters, and other components
  • Electrical infrastructure
  • Installation requirements
  • Project location
  • Logistics
  • Applicable taxes and duties
  • DISCOM or regulatory requirements
  • Scope of work requested by the customer

A quotation will remain valid for the period stated in the respective proposal or quotation.

5. Site Survey & Technical Assessment

Certain solar projects may require a physical or technical site assessment before the scope, design, system capacity, or project cost can be finalised.
Customers are expected to provide accurate information regarding the property, electricity consumption, sanctioned load, available area, ownership or authority over the site, and other information reasonably required for project evaluation.
Changes in actual site conditions may require revisions to the proposed design, scope, price, or project schedule.

6. Project Scope

The scope of services for each project will be defined in the applicable proposal, quotation, work order, purchase order, or agreement.
Depending on the project, Somaya Solar's scope may include services such as:

  • Site survey and feasibility assessment
  • Engineering and system design
  • Procurement
  • Solar mounting structures
  • Balance of System components
  • Installation
  • Testing
  • Commissioning
  • Grid integration support
  • Operation and maintenance
  • AMC or CMC support
  • Other agreed project services

Somaya Solar may provide turnkey EPC solutions or specific project modules depending on customer requirements.

7. Pricing, Taxes & Additional Costs

Project pricing will be communicated through the relevant quotation or proposal.
Unless expressly included in the quotation, additional requirements arising after finalisation of the project scope may be charged separately.
Applicable GST, government fees, statutory charges, application fees, logistics charges, or other costs will be handled according to the agreed commercial terms.
Any requested change in system capacity, equipment, design, installation method, or scope may lead to a revised price.

8. Payment Terms

Payment schedules will be specified in the applicable quotation, purchase order, work order, or project agreement.
Customers are responsible for making payments according to the agreed milestones and payment terms.
Where payment is delayed, Somaya Solar may, subject to the project agreement and applicable law, reschedule procurement, installation, commissioning, or other project activities until outstanding payments are resolved.

9. Project Timelines

Somaya Solar will make reasonable efforts to execute projects according to mutually agreed schedules.
However, project timelines may be affected by factors outside reasonable operational control, including:

  • Customer approvals
  • Site readiness
  • Changes in project scope
  • Equipment availability
  • Supply-chain delays
  • Weather conditions
  • Transportation disruption
  • DISCOM approvals
  • Government or statutory approvals
  • Grid connectivity
  • Force majeure events

Any timeline communicated before final project confirmation should be treated as an estimate unless specifically committed in an executed project agreement.

10. Customer Responsibilities

For efficient execution of a solar project, the customer may be required to:

  • Provide accurate technical and site information
  • Ensure legal access to the installation site
  • Obtain or provide required property permissions
  • Maintain reasonable site readiness
  • Provide electricity bills or load information where required
  • Provide necessary access for surveys and installation teams
  • Make agreed payments on time
  • Coordinate required internal approvals
  • Inform Somaya Solar of relevant structural, electrical, or safety concerns

Specific customer responsibilities will depend on the project scope.

11. Government Approvals, DISCOM Processes & Subsidies

Somaya Solar may assist with documentation, applications, or coordination for applicable government schemes, net metering, DISCOM requirements, or other approvals where these services form part of the agreed scope.
However, final eligibility, subsidy approval, subsidy amount, disbursement, net-metering approval, government approval, or processing timeline is determined by the relevant government authority, DISCOM, or implementing agency.
Somaya Solar cannot guarantee approval or payment of a government subsidy unless such responsibility is expressly established under applicable rules and contractual terms.
Government schemes, regulations, and eligibility requirements may change from time to time.

12. System Performance & Energy Generation

Any estimated electricity generation, savings, payback period, or financial benefit presented during project evaluation is based on assumptions available at the time of assessment.
Actual performance may vary because of factors including:

  • Solar irradiation
  • Weather conditions
  • Shading
  • Dust and soiling
  • System usage
  • Grid availability
  • Equipment performance
  • Maintenance practices
  • Module degradation
  • Site modifications
  • Changes in electricity tariffs

Unless specifically guaranteed under a written project agreement, estimated generation or savings should not be treated as an unconditional performance guarantee.

13. Product & Equipment Availability

Solar modules, inverters, electrical equipment, and other components may be subject to manufacturer availability and supply conditions.
Where an originally proposed product becomes unavailable, an alternative product of suitable specification may be proposed to the customer. Any material change requiring customer approval will be communicated before implementation where reasonably practicable.

14. Warranty

Equipment warranties are generally governed by the applicable manufacturer's warranty terms.
Installation, workmanship, project, or service warranties, where provided by Somaya Solar, will be specified in the respective quotation, warranty document, or project agreement.
Warranty coverage may not apply to issues resulting from circumstances such as:

  • Unauthorised modifications
  • Improper third-party repairs
  • Physical damage
  • Misuse or negligence
  • Failure to follow maintenance requirements
  • External electrical faults
  • Natural disasters or force majeure
  • Conditions excluded under the relevant manufacturer's warranty

Customers should retain invoices, warranty certificates, and relevant project documentation.

15. Operation & Maintenance

Where operation and maintenance, AMC, CMC, or other post-commissioning services are included, the scope, frequency, and commercial terms will be defined separately.
Customers are responsible for providing appropriate access to the installation for agreed inspection, maintenance, or service activities.

16. Changes to Project Scope

Any customer-requested change after project approval may require reassessment of:

  • Technical design
  • Equipment
  • Project cost
  • Material quantities
  • Structural requirements
  • Project timeline
  • Labour requirements

Such changes may be implemented only after the revised scope and associated commercial impact have been mutually agreed where required.

17. Cancellation, Refunds & Project Termination

Cancellation and refund terms will depend on the stage of the project and the conditions stated in the applicable quotation or agreement.
Costs already incurred for engineering, customised fabrication, procurement, transportation, mobilisation, government applications, site work, or other project-specific activities may not be refundable where permitted by applicable law and agreed contractual terms.
Project-specific cancellation provisions will take precedence over general website information.
