Project Overview
Somaya Solar successfully executed a 2.4 MW ground-mounted solar power project under PM KUSUM Component-C for the Ram Sati Devi project in Katni, Madhya Pradesh.
The project included the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar power plant, along with the coordination required to address transmission-related requirements and bring the project into operation.
Scope of Work
Somaya Solar’s scope included:
- Supply of solar project equipment and components
- Ground-mounted solar plant installation
- Testing and commissioning

- Coordination for transmission-related requirements
The Challenge
A major challenge during project execution was managing the transmission line requirement associated with the solar plant.
This required coordination beyond the physical installation of the solar plant, particularly with the local power distribution authority for the transmission-related work necessary for project commissioning.
Our Approach
Somaya Solar addressed the challenge through liaisoning and close coordination with the local DISCOM.
By working with the concerned authorities and coordinating the required activities, the project team was able to manage the transmission-related requirements and support the project's successful commissioning.
Project Outcome
The 2.4 MW PM KUSUM ground-mounted solar project has been successfully completed and commissioned and is currently up and running.
The project highlights Somaya Solar’s ability to manage both the technical execution and coordination requirements involved in PM KUSUM solar projects, from equipment supply and installation through testing and final commissioning.
